Religious School News

We are accredited!!!

We received our accreditation from the Bureau of Jewish Education.  We were awarded a six –year term; the highest possible.  The visiting team found that the self-study was well organized and clearly articulated the goals and visions of Temple Kol Tikvah Religious School.  Please share this important information about our school with your friends who might be interested in enrolling their children in our program.  Also, fill out your temple membership and school registration as soon as possible. This will help us in planning our programs for next year.

NEW

Teen Tuesdays Program-For Grades 7-8-9

Teenagers need to develop a positive self-image; one that is empowering and enables them to make significant contributions to society.   The new Teen Tuesday curriculum will feature the A.C.T. (Activist Certification and Training) Program, a partnership with Jewish World Watch.  The program also includes youth group activities as well as B’nai Mitzvah preparation during the fall semester for the 7th graders.  All students will participate in a field trip to the Museum of Tolerance and the Walk for Darfur next June.  In addition, our collaboration with Jewish World Watch will enable each student to work towards a certificate in youth activism (great for future college applications!).

Early Childhood Center News:  Camp Cool Kids is already in week two with children adding days and sessions because they are having so much fun. We are celebrating everything red, white and blue this week. Last week we had so much fun watching the kids on the water slide, participating in sports, riding on ponies and petting the animals from the petting farm. This week we are erupting bottle rockets, having a bubble show and a scavenger hunt too! Too much wet and wild fun!

We have limited spaces available for fall. Call for more information or to schedule a tour. We have two fantastic Mommy and Me classes; one for toddlers and one is a baby sign class.

Up coming events:

July 4 – no camp

July 7– Musical Monday and Water Slide

July 8th – Puppet show & workshop

July 9th – Rockin’ with Ditza
