SOCIAL ACTION

Many Social Action activities occur at Temple Kol Tikvah: contributions, collections and work for the local food bank, interfaith activities with local churches, youth group visits to a senior citizen home. We collect food for the food bank at least once a year. We work to eliminate the ravages of Darfur and other international problems. We have collected clothes for Hurricane Katrina relief..

Plans for the coming year include:

work on education forums on current social justice issues
projects for social action
tutoring for children in need
a temple blood drive
a yearly Mitzvah Day

The committee is looking for people who can provide rides on weekdays for Temple members with medical appointments.
