Their greatest joy is their commitment to Kol Tikvah and volunteering. Sam volunteers in the temple office so often that they consider her temple staff. They are involved in Torah study, book club, the Renaissance group, and you can frequently find them at Friday night services and at many other community events. Sam co-chairs the Renaissance group, participates on the gala and High Holy Day committees and we have even seen her driving a golf cart at the annual golf tournament. As an attorney, Rich served as a Traffic Commissioner for the City of Calabasas and was president of the Mulwood Homeowners Association. We also congratulate Sam and Rich on the celebration of their 58th wedding anniversary! Cory Garson – Kehillah Community Award Cory has exhibited a tireless devotion to Kol Tikvah volunteering and serving in various capacities. She was on the Kol Tikvah Board of Trustees for many years, has served as temple President, V.P. of Membership, V.P. of Ways and Means, and has coordinated many improvement projects for Kol Tikvah. Cory has participated in the Jewish Federation Leadership Task Force and was on the Parent Association Board at the Harvard-Westlake School for 10 years including a term as President. She was also on the Board for The Circle of Care Foundation and served as Co-Chair for their annual fundraiser. Kami and Michael Stone – Young Adult Leadership Award Kami and Michael have been members of our community, Kol Tikvah, since January 2013 when they were looking for a preschool for their young daughter Charli. Kami immediately began volunteering both in the preschool and on the annual Education Fundraiser committee, which she has been a part of each year since. Kami was on the Kol Tikvah board for 3 years. Michael has played for the Kol Tikvah softball team since 2005. He worked closely with The Jewish Federation to coordinate a federal security grant for Kol Tikvah to acquire government funding to upgrade all of our security systems. Michael is very active with Los Judeos Hermanos (Men’s Group). Kami and Michael have exhibited a tireless devotion to Kol Tikvah thru volunteering and they have demonstrated a love and concern for their own communities.
