Pride Shabbat – JQ International Speaker: David Kazdan – JOIN US!

You and your friends are invited to our Pride Shabbat service that focuses on unity, equality and inclusion for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The LGBTQA+ Equality service is filled with music, poetry, and prayer led by Rabbi Jon Hanish, Rabbi Becky Hoffman, and Cantor Noa Shaashua. We proudly present David Kazdan, JQ International guest speaker, who will discuss “The Need for LGBTQ Role Models in the Jewish Community.”  Socializing, coffee, and dessert to follow service. Bio for Speaker David Kazdan:
David Kazdan holds a B.A. in Modern Jewish and Israel Studies from California State University, Chico, as well an M.A. degree in Israel and Zionist Studies from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. While in graduate school, David created Israel Studies course syllabi currently being used in universities in China. As a member of the BGU development team, he was responsible for the creation of the Woodman-Scheller scholarship fund. Currently, David is completing an M.A. at the Zelikow School of Jewish Non-Profit Management at Hebrew Union College and serves as a development professional at UCLA Hillel.
