For Teens & Their Parents: “Cyberbullying” with Guest Speaker

April 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We are presenting a special program on “Cyberbullying” for our Confirmation, Teen Tuesday, and BMR students and at least one of their parents. Kol Tikvah is a safe space for families to discuss and confront all challenges for teens and their families. We welcome guest speaker, Monica Harmon, Founder of Speak Out Against Bullying, Inc.

 

 Monica Harmon has been a Public Safety Advocate for over 25 years and has extensive law enforcement training. She is the Founder of  Speak Out Against Bullying, Inc. Ms. Harmon has been a speaker at various conferences and seminars such as: Riverside Medical Foundation’s 3rd Annual Anti Bullying Conference, Special Needs Network Youth Bullying Summit at USC, California Assoc. of Student Councils, Youth Action Summit to name a few.

 

Ms. Harmon was a team member of Department of Homeland Security’s (NESI) National Education Security Initiative, and currently a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s Southern California Community Engagement Round Table.

 

Ms. Harmon’s professional experience includes completion National Training Center for the award-winning Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, and graduated from U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Citizen Academy, and the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Detective Academy. Ms. Harmon is a California State Certified Domestic Violence Counselor.
