Beginning in the fall of 2006, Temple Kol Tikvah will take the Post B'nai Mitzvah program in a slightly new direction. Aimed at keeping students connected to Temple Kol Tikvah, the new program will better provide programming that is interesting to our 8th grade and High School students.
Various classes will be offered, with options to participate in one or two classes during the Religious School year. Answering the demand of the school families, students can participate weekly or bi-weekly, depending upon family needs.
One course will focus on various issues facing teens today, and the mitzvot or commandments that give a Jewish perspective on dealing with them. The other class considers 15 significant moments in Jewish History. Students will have the opportunity to learn about significant moments from Biblical times, to the creation of the State of Israel.
